City opens up business incentive program

Officials with the Rutland Redevelopment Authority are hoping more people will take advantage of an incentive program designed to bring new businesses to the city, with new criteria that will make it easier to qualify for a grant of up to $5,000.

Also, the program would offer opportunities for secured loans of up to $ 50,000 and forgivable loans of up to $10,000.

The changes to the incentive program open it to all new businesses in Rutland that invest at least $10,000 and create at least two new full-time jobs within Rutland.
